Opportunities and Directions in Fusion Energy Science for the Next Decade*

   1999 Fusion Summer Study

   July 11-23, 1999
   Snowmass, Colorado

"Opportunities and Directions in Fusion Energy Science for the Next Decade" was a workshop that brought together individuals involved with fusion research to provide input to the developing plans for U.S. fusion energy sciences research during the next decade. These plans include paths for both energy and science goals, address the needs for both magnetic and inertial fusion options, and take into account related international programs. The workshop was held at Snowmass, Colorado, July 11-23, 1999.

Each of the Working Groups presented summaries of their technical activities and discussions in a Summary Session at the end of the Workshop. These summary presentations in pdf format can be found at http://www.ap.columbia.edu/fusion/snowmass/WG_Summaries.html or by clicking on the hyperlink above.
