On Campus Accommodations

The Carman Hall Dormitory is located on northeast corner of Broadway and 114th Street. All check-in's and check-out's will take place in the Conference Housing Office on the first floor of Carman Hall. That office is open daily from 8:00 AM-10:00 PM.

(early check-in on Sunday, June 15, 2008, is available upon request)

Check-out date: 11:00 AM on Friday, June 20, 2008
(late check-out on Saturday, June 21, 2009, is available upon request)

Towels are provided and will be changed every other day. Soap and other hygiene amenities are not provided. Bedrooms (maintenance and trash removal) are the responsibility of the conference guests.

Reservations:

There are no more beds available in the Carman Hall Dormitory. If you have already made a reservation and need to cancel or update your travel plans, please contact Christina Rohm by email or call (212) 854-4457 by 2 PM on Friday, June 13. After 2 PM on June 13, you will need to call the Carman Hall front desk 212-854-0365 to make changes.

Rates:

Double Occupancy Rooms (two twin beds): $47.50 per night/per person or $95.00 per night for both beds

Graduate students and postdocs will be offered free housing for four nights (Monday-Thursday, departing on Friday). If arriving early on Sunday or staying late on Friday night, you will be charged $47.50 per night. Proof of status is required. All accompanying guests must pay for their own accommodations.

Any outstanding payments for on-campus accommodations or registration fees should be paid only to the NNPO8 staff at the registration table in CEPSR/Shapiro. We have alredy prepaid for the rooms in Carman Hall. Please do not attempt to pay any fees to the staff in Carman Hall.

PLEASE NOTE: New Payment Options for International Conference Participants

We are very sorry that so many of our international guests experienced difficulty paying their conference fees and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We have new payment options available and the payment deadline for all international guests has been extended until Monday, May 19, 2008.

International conference participants can now pay by U.S. check or by wire transfer. Please see the directions below for more information. Unfortunately, we can not accept money orders or credit cards. If you have already paid by international money order, it will be returned to you.

A check, even from foreign country, is considered as a U.S. check if all of the following
conditions are true:
a) Must be in US dollars;
